Remove cover art from MP3
Strip the embedded image out of MP3 files to shrink them, get rid of the wrong cover, or start again with a clean slate.

No uploads. No account. Your audio stays on your device.
How to use it
Add your files
Drop songs or a whole album folder onto the page, or choose them from your device. Existing tags are read straight away.
Select the tracks
Choose the songs whose artwork should go. Select a whole album to clear it in one pass.
Remove the artwork
In the artwork panel, choose Remove. The panel shows the image's dimensions and file size first, so you know what you are taking out.
Export
Download a ZIP, save straight into a folder, or share the files from your phone. Exports are new files; your originals are never modified.
What it does
- Smaller files
- A cover is stored inside every track that carries it. A 2 MB image across a 14-track album is 28 MB of the same picture.
- Only the image goes
- Titles, artists, track numbers, lyrics and every other tag stay exactly as they were.
- Change your mind
- Removal can be undone until you export, and your original files keep their artwork regardless.
Common questions
Does removing artwork affect the audio?
No. The image lives in the tag data, separate from the audio. Removing it doesn't touch the music.
How much space will I save?
The size of the embedded image, for every file that contains it. The editor shows that size before you remove anything.
Can I replace the cover instead?
Yes. Drop a new image onto the artwork area and it takes the place of the old one.
