What it does
- Original quality
- The image is written out exactly as it was embedded. It is not recompressed or resized on the way.
- More than MP3
- Reading artwork works for MP3, M4A, FLAC, OGG, Opus and WAV files, so you can recover covers from most of a mixed library.
- Whole albums too
- When you export an album folder, VaultedAudio can place the album's cover in it as a separate image file.
Common questions
What format is the extracted image?
Whatever was embedded in the song, which is nearly always JPEG or PNG.
Why is there no artwork in my file?
Not every file has a cover embedded. Some players show artwork they looked up online or found in the same folder, which isn't stored in the song itself.
