How to use it
Add your files
Drop songs or a whole album folder onto the page, or choose them from your device. Existing tags are read straight away.
Open a track's lyrics
Select a track and switch to the Lyrics tab in the side panel. Any lyrics already in the file appear there.
Paste or type
Write the lyrics or paste them in, with line breaks as you want them shown. Clearing the box removes the lyrics from the file.
Export
Download a ZIP, save straight into a folder, or share the files from your phone. Exports are new files; your originals are never modified.
What it does
- Standard embedded lyrics
- Lyrics are saved in the file's unsynchronised lyrics tag, the standard place that players look for them.
- You bring the words
- VaultedAudio doesn't look lyrics up or fetch them from anywhere. Whatever you type stays on your device.
- Any language
- Accents, non-Latin scripts and line breaks are stored as you entered them.
Common questions
Will the lyrics show up in my music app?
Apps that support embedded lyrics will read them. Support varies: some apps only show lyrics from their own catalogue and ignore what is in the file.
Does it support time-synced lyrics?
Not yet. Lyrics are saved as plain text without timing.
Can VaultedAudio find the lyrics for me?
No. There is no lyrics lookup. You paste in text you already have.
